... more like NO-lé! Whitty had his first soccer game last Saturday at 8:45am. Most of you know that is well before he usually wakes up in the mornings ;) These pictures don't quite capture the frustration of the event, as I didn't know why my son spent most of the game crying. Notice the last picture, that is Whitty's foot hanging down as his coach was having to carry him during the game. We have been assured it will get better, we'll keep you posted!

Who is that strikingly...

... handsome, beloved man who authors in a place called Growing in Season?  Quite unashamedly I am biased and boastfully proud of my husband Barrett who is penning electronically his journey, current and past.  What this looks like may be quietly subtle at times and shockingly bold and honest at others, but I encourage him to keep on writing, where his heart may overflow onto the page about his loves, his questions, his hurts, his healing wounds and his honest search for the heart of God to be more real to him today than the day before.  Send him some encouragement as you read through his posts and hold him accountable to keep writing... know when to call his bluff ;)
